Acceptable use policy

The rules for using Amplify, and what gets an account suspended.

Draft, pending legal review. This document is a working draft written by the Amplify team, not by a lawyer. It describes how we actually intend to operate the product. It has not been reviewed by counsel and is not legal advice.

1. Rights in what you upload

Only upload material you own or are licensed to use: recordings, artwork, samples, photographs, fonts and press copy. Recording credits and splits you enter should reflect real agreements.

2. Fans, customers and contact

Only import contacts you have a lawful basis to hold, and only send them mail they agreed to receive. Do not use Amplify to run purchased lists, scraped lists or unsolicited bulk mail.

Record consent state honestly. Do not mark a contact as consenting because it is convenient.

3. Storefront and payment conduct

Describe what you actually sell, fulfil what you take money for, and do not use the storefront for fraud, laundering or goods you may not lawfully sell.

4. Content limits

  • No content that is unlawful where you or your audience are.
  • No sexual content involving minors, ever, under any framing.
  • No harassment of, or credible threats against, identifiable people.
  • No impersonation of another artist, label or person.
  • Explicit language, profanity and adult themes in your own creative work are fine — this is a music product.

5. Platform integrity

  • Do not probe, scan or attack the service, or try to reach another workspace's data.
  • Do not attempt to bypass plan limits, permissions or row-level security.
  • Do not scrape the product, resell access, or run automated load beyond normal use.
  • Do not use AI features to mass-produce spam or to impersonate a real person's voice or writing.

6. Enforcement

We investigate reports and act proportionately: a warning, removing specific content, limiting a feature, or suspending an account when the risk to other artists or to the service is serious.
