What Amplify's AI features do, what they are sent, and how AI output is labelled.

Draft, pending legal review. This document is a working draft written by the Amplify team, not by a lawyer. It describes how we actually intend to operate the product. It has not been reviewed by counsel and is not legal advice.

1. The principle

AI in Amplify exists to inspire, interview, organise, explain and guide. It is not there to replace you, and generating a finished song is deliberately not the default experience. Your voice and your authorship stay yours.

2. Where AI is used

  • Writer's Room and Idea Vault — focused creative questions, alternatives and structural suggestions on material you wrote.
  • Press kit — drafting and tightening bio and section copy from facts already in your workspace.
  • Release visuals — cover-art concepts generated from the release facts you entered.
  • Campaign packs — post and asset drafts built around an approved release visual.

3. What gets sent, and what does not

An AI action sends only the specific text or facts that action needs, at the moment you trigger it. Nothing is sent in the background, and no sweep of your workspace is uploaded.

Amplify does not use your lyrics, recordings, fan data or business records to train models. AI usage records keep metadata only — feature, model, timing and outcome — not your prompts or the generated text.

4. Telling material apart

AI suggestions arrive in a review step you must accept before they become part of your work; they are labelled as suggestions until you do. Imported data is marked as imported and shows its source and batch. Calculated analytics are derived from records you can open and check.

Amplify does not fabricate collaborators, rights ownership, splits, royalties, streams, fans, press quotes or business results. If a number is not in your data, the product shows an empty state instead of inventing one.

5. Lyrics and export

The Writer's Room keeps songwriting structure — section labels, notes, alternatives — because that is how writing works. Published and Spotify-ready lyric exports strip that scaffolding and output lyrics only, with repeated lines written out in full and your capitalisation, punctuation and ad-libs preserved.

6. Your responsibility

AI output can be wrong, generic or unintentionally close to something else. Review anything you publish or rely on. Whether AI-assisted output is protectable, and who owns it, differs by jurisdiction and is not something Amplify can decide for you.
